Get your grin going again

Bright smiles disappear gradually, and you may not notice for a while that yours has been getting dimmer as your teeth accumulate surface stains from what you eat and drink.

Tea and coffee, red wine, berries, even tomato sauces can all leave residues on your teeth. And of course, tobacco does too. The stains sink into the pores in your tooth enamel and after a while won’t come out again, no matter how much you brush your teeth.

Teeth Whitening in OrmskirkIt is not a good look. We are hardwired to notice other people’s smiles, so you won’t be getting away with your discoloured teeth. People will spot them and thanks to thousands of years of programming will draw conclusions about your age and your health that won’t be very flattering.

Fortunately, at Parbold Dental, we have two methods of teeth whitening in Ormskirk to restore your teeth to their former pearly whiteness, and have people thinking you are young and vibrant.

Power whitening

Take an hour or so out of your day to lie back and relax in the dentist’s chair while we protect your lips and gums with protective barriers and then paint your teeth with whitening gel. You can choose how white you want to go and by the time the session is over, your teeth will be that shade.

At-home whitening

For this you will need to have bespoke gel trays made from impressions of your teeth. Having trays that fit exactly greatly reduces the chances of irritation to the lips and gums from the whitening gel. The gel is of a weaker concentration than the one we use in the clinic, and you will need to wear your trays for a short period every day for around 2 or 3 weeks to reach the shade you desire.

It’s a subtler process and has the advantage of easy top-ups when you need them; all you need to do is buy more whitening gel from us.

Aftercare

Teeth whitening is not a permanent treatment, so keep teeth whiter for longer, avoid staining foods and drinks and brush your teeth gently after meals.
